Ash travels the UK with guest performances in London, Essex, Yorkshire, Birmingham, Great Yarmouth, Brighton, Bedford, Bicester, Luton & more...Plus performances abroad including Austria, Spain, Malta, Tobago & Barbados.
Ash has dj'd @ live gigs too -ATMOSFEAR, FATBACK BAND,CHANGE,MARLENA SHAW & EDDIE HENDERSON,LEROY BURGESS, DON BLACKMAN, JUNIOR GISCOMBE, NOEL MCKOY, OMAR, CE CE PENISTON,TASHAN, KENI STEVENS, BEGGAR & CO, SHALAMAR & VIVIENNE McKONE to name a few.
Club nights promoted by Ash have included SHAFT & GROOVE CONTROL & SOUL SHACK (since 1998)
In April 2000 SHAFT was voted No.2 club night in the Uk in Blues & soul magazine, Guest djs included Greg Edwards,Kwame (D influence) plus Caister Djs Chris Hill, Froggy, & Gary Dennis. SOUL SHACK ran for nearly 5 years attracting thousands of clientele over the years from all areas of London & the outskirts including Essex, Kent & Herts. Plus clientele have travelled from out of town places including places including Luton, Birmingham, Leeds, Cambridge, Gt. Yarmouth, Southend, Bournemouth and as far as Scotland, Austria, Germany & USA. Live pa?s included Shabazz (USA), David Joseph (UK) & Rose Windross (Soul II Soul). Artists including The Blackbyrds, James Mason, Freeez, Savannah & Paul Johnson have come down just to party. Incognito attended as we launched their album in 2003. Light of the world attended as we hosted lead vocalist Gee Bello?s birthday bash & celebrated 25 years of Light of the world in the music business (2004), SOUL SHACK IS BACK JAN 2009 (Monthly, see event page for info). GROOVE CONTROL ran for 2 years with pa's including Martine Girault & attracted the more mature soul raver who danced and sung along to their fave tunes as we brought back those great memories from yesteryear & the fun vibe of an 80s soul weekender.
In 1991 Ash selector produced his first Disco Garage track with extensive entitled "Select the Rhythm" voted number 2 disco garage track of the year in Mixmag, they followed this with 2 e.p's and another 12 inch all laced with the disco flavour.Ash put pen to paper and wrote Now that i got u,with the extensive crew mixes and Jimi Polo from Chicago & signed to HOTT records, the record was an underground smash, with reviews in Blues & Soul, interviews, reviews and photos in Echoes magazine, plus an interview on the "WORD" on Kiss Fm and radio plays on drive time and various specialist shows.
In 1998 Ash joined In House recordings staying with them till 1999 releasing 5 singles & remixing classic soul & current rnb in a 2 step uk garage style,one track was a cover of we got the funk by positive force using 3 mc's, B-Live, CKP & MC Neat, the tracks were well received and played by DJ EZ & THE DREEM TEAM.
Aug 2002 Ash remixed the Real Things- Can You Feel The Force in a disco/house style for Nice 'n' Ripe recordings.
